Join the four corners

Lay the square front panel between the two shaped side panels on a soft surface. Fit a stainless steel cube at each corner and tighten the eight screws evenly until the window is square and stable. Do not over tighten.

Slide it into the cubby

Guide the complete window into one clear KALLAX cubby until it sits fully and snugly. To change the display, draw it forward with the clear pull tab.

Good to know

Will it fit my KALLAX?

Yes, if it is a standard KALLAX. Every compartment on the current range measures 33 x 33 cm at the opening and 39 cm deep, and the window is cut to fill that opening with a close, self-supporting fit. It needs the full width, height and usable depth of the cube, so it is not intended to share an opening with cupboard, drawer, shelf or basket inserts. If your unit is older, modified or already holds another fitting, measure the clear opening first. If you are unsure, send us the width, height and usable depth and we will confirm the fit.

Does it attach to the furniture?

No. The window is a close, self-supporting fit. Nothing is screwed, stuck or permanently attached to the unit, so it leaves no mark and moves house with you.

Is there a printed assembly guide?

Yes. A one-page guide with the parts list, six steps and care notes ships with every kit, and you can download it here as a PDF.

Is it dust-proof or lockable?

The clear front and two sides reduce everyday dust, pet hair, fingerprints and casual contact from those directions. The window is open at the rear and is not airtight, lockable or guaranteed dust-proof. It is a display accessory, not a sealed case, safety barrier or load-bearing structure.

How do I take it out to change the display?

Use the supplied clear pull tab to draw the window forward, refresh the display, then slide it back in.

Is it safe around children and pets?

Adult assembly is required. The kit contains small metal parts and screws, so keep loose components away from children and pets. Assemble on a protected surface, do not over tighten the fixings, and stop using the window if any panel or connector becomes damaged or loose. Do not allow children to climb on the shelving or pull the window forward, and follow the furniture manufacturer's wall anchoring guidance.
